With a strong order book and continued investment in both technology and people, the business is looking to strengthen its quality team with someone who enjoys working to tight tolerances, solving problems and ensuring only the highest quality components leave the shop floor.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality standards, carrying out CMM inspection of precision machined components, supporting production and helping drive a right-first-time culture across the business. The role also includes first-off inspection, working from engineering drawings, producing inspection reports and supporting quality activities across the manufacturing process.
What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out CMM inspection of complex precision machined components to tight tolerances

Completing first-off inspections and ensuring components meet engineering drawing requirements before production continues

Producing and supporting quality documentation including FAIRs, ISIRs and PPAP activities where required

Working closely with manufacturing and quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues while driving continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience using CMM equipment within a precision engineering or machining environment

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand GD&T

Experience producing FAIRs, ISIRs or PPAP documentation would be advantageous
-
A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality
